DWELLING IN SCRIPTURE - 8:30 A.M. SUNDAYS
Dwelling means “to live and inhabit
a space.” Dwelling in a scripture text is
a way of entering the biblical story and
lingering there, to delay our fast-paced,
answer-driven, application-focused
agenda, and let the text read us. It is to seek a deeper level of understanding and
knowing that only comes by going beyond
what we can observe on the surface and
“dwelling in the particulars” of the biblical story. The hope is that when we begin to internalize the text, it transforms us and
we begin to hear God’s word for us. No
prerequisites are required to join in, just a
spirit of openness and a listening heart.— REV. MARK BURNHAM, Leader |
DROP-IN BIBLE STUDY - 9:00 A.M. SUNDAYS
Drop-In Bible study meets in the Fireside Room, Sundays at 9:00
a.m. and the current study is the book of Daniel. “There’s no homework required,” says Kristy Cole, who acts as the moderator, adding with a smile, “but we don’t prohibit it on a voluntary basis!” Kristy urges you to join this group at any time. “You will enjoy the fellowship of this small group as we study God’s Word.”
