God's Place is our rotation-model Christian education program
for children in grades kindergarten through 5th. Children attend
worship with their family at 10:00 a.m. and leave for God's Place
after the children's message at approximately 10:20 a.m. This
program, in place during the school year, uses a multisensory
approach to teach children about God's love and timeless messages
to us found in the scriptures. For more information on the rotation
model of Christian education, visit the Workshop Rotation Model
Homepage.
At PCLG, we have four elementary classes: kindergarten, 1st
and 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th and 5th grade. Kindergarteners
stay in their own room for the morning while 1st through 5th
have three rotation sites:
Creation Station (art and science), Milky Way Movie Theater (video
and discussion) and Holyword Squares (games). One Sunday each month, the older children meet in the Social Hall for stories and activities. The children learn
one story over the course of several weeks by visiting each of
these sites. Adult guides take the children to their rotation
sites each Sunday and provide nurturing support.
Classes are offered all year and include a Bible story, snacks,
crafts, and playground fun.

and then proceed as a group to the Social Hall for God's

During Gathering time the
children hear announcements, collect offering and sing songs.
