Attendance: With the exception up to 3 weeks of scheduled vacations, performers must be present at all rehearsals and performances for which they are called. All vacations, away camps, etc. must be over before August 2.
Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, June 8 and are normally held on Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There are also some Thursday dance rehearsals. Please remember that very few performers will need to attend all rehearsals. A complete rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the Parents’ Meeting at the first read-through.
Participation: The Shoestring Theatre Company's program is not a summer drop-off babysitting service. By allowing their children to participate in the show, parents obligate themselves to participate in the production in a support role. These come in many forms ranging from rehearsal supervision to Green Room management, various crews, set construction, etc.
Parents' Meetings: There are two mandatory Parents' Meetings. Children of parents who choose to not attend the meeting(s) will be dropped from the cast.
- ADULT CAST & NEW PARENTS’ TRAINING: Wednesday, May 14, 7:00 to 9:00. This meeting is required for all adult cast members and the parents of all “first-timers”. This is where you will receive PCLG’s mandatory Safe-Child Training. Parents who have received this training as part of another PCLG program or received it for the show last year do not need to attend this meeting. Please click here to review the Shoestring Theatre Company's Safe-Child Policy.
- ALL-PARENTS’ MEETING: Wednesday, May 21, 7:30 p.m. This meeting is required for all parents. This is where you will be given vital information and you will have an opportunity to sign up for your volunteer service.
