Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley’s second Women Build is scheduled to break ground late summer 2008.

Women Build projects bring together women from all walks of life to actively address the problem of children in poverty by building homes, and providing an environment in which women can feel comfortable learning skills they might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn.

This Women Build is a single-home build at 868 Delmas Street in San Jose.

For our first Women Build, completed in the summer of 2007, 92% of the volunteers were women, guided by a woman site supervisor, in a home designed by women architects.
