Serving Around the World

From Africa, India, Albania and Indonesia to Malawi, Honduras, Central Asia and Turkey, we believe we are all God’s children. That’s why PCLG is involved in helping others all over the globe.

Amor Ministries

amorSince 2001, our PCLG youth, college students, and numerous adult advisors have built more than 30 homes in Mexico through Amor Ministries. As Christians we are all called to discover new ways to put our faith into action. Our goal at PCLG is to help you on your journey–and for us to do it together. In February, our high school group takes a team, and in June, this mission project is open to the whole PCLG church community. What a great way to put your faith into action.

Central Asia

Our congregation supports a PC(USA) mission co-worker and community development facilitator in a sensitive area of Central Asia. While meeting practical and physical needs of her community, like improving school facilities and providing health instruction, this mission co-worker also takes every opportunity to bring the good news to the poor in Central Asia

Near East School of Theology

logo2The Near East School of Theology is an interconfessional Protestant seminary in Beirut, Lebanon. It is one of few places where Middle East Christians can send their young people to become pastors. The primary purpose of the school is to train pastors and church workers for ministry in the churches and other evangelical organizations in the Middle East. Dr. Mary Mikhael, NEST’s President, is an outstanding scholar and a dedicated Christian; she wrote the Presbyterian Women’s study guide for 2009-2010 on the book of Joshua. The PC (USA) position at NEST is now filled by Carol Dolezal-Ng, from the Presbytery of San Francisco. Carol visited our church for Adult Education in 2009.

Special Offerings

The churchwide Special Offerings of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) are a collective witness to Jesus Christ’s love for the whole church. PCLG supports One Great Hour of SharingPeace & Global Witness Offering, and the Christmas Joy Offering.
