The Rev. Dr. David G. Watermulder, Pastor

A note from Pastor Dave

Hi everybody.

On Sunday, Pastor Erica was preaching and she talked about trusting God’s presence in the midst of suffering or hard times. She shared how affliction can feel like a kind of “pressure” that is pushing down on us. Whether it is a health issue, a relationship that is hurting, an addiction or mental health situation, or just our need for guidance or hope.

Pastor Erica’s message had to do with how we love each other and walk together out of the great love with which we have been loved by God. If you missed the sermon:

On Sunday we had a great day with the Donut Hole Blind Taste Test before worship. We had donut holes from 6 local donut shops- Maple Leaf Los Gatos, Bascom Donuts, Manleys, Donut Wheel, Maple Leaf Almaden, and Puffin.

The winner and undisputed champion of PCLG donut holes was.... Puffin (brought by Steve and Jane Fainer).

Along with having fun and eating donuts, the other purpose we had with this event was to invite you to be part of our Donut Dispatch on a Sunday morning. Here is the link to sign up to bring donut holes.

You can get them from any shop that is convenient for you. You can be reimbursed and it is just a way to really help our Sunday morning start off great.

Some of you may have noticed that our church website is going into a refresh and update right now. Thanks to Stephen Stanwood for leading this, along with input from many others. www.pclg.org is the website and I invite you to take a look! If you find something that needs to be updated or changed, please contact Stephen directly.

Today is Wednesday, and the Pastors Bible Study is starting again at 2pm in the Fireside Room. Anyone is welcome, and you can bring your own Bible (BYOB) for this study.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to the Bay FC soccer game on Sunday. We had over 50 PCLG folks in the stands. We also had over 30 parents of PCLG High School students together for fellowship on Sunday night.

A lot is happening and you can read below for more information about it all. Have a great week and I will see you on Sunday!

peace,
pastor dave
