Women's Retreat

Would you like to get away from your day-to-day routine? Learn from an inspiring teacher? Relax with old and new Christian friends? If you answered yes, yes and yes, the PCLG Women’s Retreat is the place for you!

This year’s retreat is scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 7-9. These dates are a little later than we normally meet so the weather may be cooler, but we know the fellowship will be warm and wonderful!

We’ll gather at the beautiful St. Francis Retreat Center near San Juan Bautista, about 50 miles south of PCLG. The center’s 73-acre site features a large, peaceful pond and wooded walking trails. Last year was our first time at this location, and many retreatants reported that they loved it.

Our speaker this year is the Rev. Zondra Tyre, a retired Bay Area Presbyterian pastor who most recently was involved in ministering to English-speaking pilgrims as they arrived at the end of their Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain – including some from PCLG. Zondra, who has also ministered to children in Ethiopia, is passionate about learning in community how we can experience God’s love and grace as we deepen our own love for Him.

The retreat runs from late Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, with a Saturday-only option. The fees are $399 for the weekend, which includes two nights and five meals, and $145 for Saturday-only, which includes lunch. The Retreat Team will help organize carpools.
