About the event
Pastor Erica Rader and Christina Hingle are leading a Women’s Camino pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela starting May 16 returning home June 1. The path is roughly the path taken by our young adult pilgrimage last May, with some modifications for our needs. We anticipate walking 10-15 miles/ day and we’ve developed a tentative itinerary.
A pilgrimage where one walks on the paths walked by other pilgrims in the past is a formative experience for God’s people. It is both a personal experience and a community experience. Formation is found in the literal and spiritual process of walking with God and each other. For over 1000 years, pilgrims from all over the world have walked this pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, traditionally believed to be the burial site of the apostle James. This pilgrimage continues today with El Camino de Santiago being the most well known and well-loved pilgrimage walk in the world. For more info click here
