PCLG Scholarshipsgraduation-cap

The Franzen Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 to carry on Clarence and Priscilla Franzen’s active support of the Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos programs for the development of youth.  Awards may be made annually at the discretion of the PCLG Scholarship Committee, subject to approval by the Session of the Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos. Any church member pursuing their education beyond secondary school, either college or vocational, is eligible. Preference will be given high school seniors preparing for service-oriented careers. This application is oriented toward high school seniors and college students, though others may be considered, such as those pursuing graduate study or non-service career.

The Peter Kim Scholarship was established in 2019 in memory of Dr. Peter Kim, the beloved son of Rev. Young and Judy Kim, who are part of the PCLG family. Dr. Kim passed away suddenly in 2017 at the young age of 56, after serving at the New York Presbyterian Hospital for 23 years. The Kim family’s gift, in Peter’s honor, will be used to award one scholarship each year to a student pursuing higher education beyond an undergraduate degree, with special emphasis on Seminarians, medical students, law students, and other helping professions.

The online application can be found at this link. Both Scholarships are represented by a single application.

Please submit your application for the 2023-2024 school year by March 31, 2022.
